TH, good job on finding the root of her concern and working out a compromise.
I just can't do boxers. I believe you either sinch the boys up snug and go to war, or put on some Big Bad VooDoo Daddy and let em' swing. And only one of those works for me in a kilt ![Very Happy](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
I think it's funny though that people have an issue with not wearing underwear after all, we are all naked under our underwear It's just a matter of how many layers of underwear are under...there Hey! I'm a poet and didn't know I was

Cavscout, I'm informed that the 80's thing is well back in style. All the young punks (new boots and contracts for the Clash fans) are wearing the tapered type now. You can tell yer wife you're hipper than you've ever been.
I think the closest thing to kilts in the 80's was the Rude Girls of the ska scene, and they were lookin good indeedy do.
Kilt on!

Don't throw out those tapers just yet! My wife is the manager of a high-end clothing store and has repeatedly informed me that tapered jeans are all the "new" rage!
Sadly, fashion regurgitates itself on a 20 year cycle and has done so since the 70s.
Ah, the 80s...again. I hope everyone looks forward to the 90s next decade. I'll be lining up for my MC Hammer pants and a Hypercolour shirt!!!

Can't understand how anybody finds jeans comfortable - I once owned a pair when I was a teenager. Depending on the activities being undertaken I wear kilts, or tailored cotton or polyester trousers (or shorts in summer).

I'm wearing jeans today and do so when I'm know I'm doing activity that I get dirty. (I don't own a kilt yet, except for my belted plaid) My boys have been wrestling with the jeans all day. I usually wear pants that have a looser crotch (even though their still tighter then I'd like). Anywho, my fiance loves me in the belted plaid and so I don't think she'll have a problem with me in a kilt.

Hav'nt wore jeans for 20 years, never missed them, I think that older men do not look good in jeans, better with kilts

My wife is not a fan of the kilt either. She has almost gotten used to the fact that they are here to stay.

I'm envious of y'all who have supportive wives. My wife absolutely hates me wearing a kilt... some vague argument about people don't wear those anymore... I'm not really sure what that says about anyone in a kilt, but I digress.
I work with lots of different vendors and brokers and most men don't say anything, and women like the kilt. My personal opinion is if it doesn't violate any company policies, and it is modest, who could/should care?
Happily kilted now for five months and counting!
