Thanks for the comments, guys. When I refer to family gatherings, it is nearly almost always my wife's side of the family. Everyone from my dad;s side of the family is gone now, with the possible exception of some unknown relatives in the County Tyrone area of Northern Ireland. They may still be some there, but I have no idea how to contact them. On my Mother's side I have one Aunt and a few cousins who I rarely see. So, my wife, my 3 kids and my inlaws are my family. Unlike some, I have always had a good relationship with them.
