OK, who is the man in the pictures and what have you done with the cheerful Steve I know?
Which reminds me, I was meant to send you some shirt measures, wasn't I?

A definite winner. When will they be available? Do they need ironing?

OK Guys, technically we are in production now. However we have Christmas kilt orders that have to go out so I can't deliver on shirts till after they are complete.
In Jan. the new website will go up and the shirts will be there also.
Prices are as follows.
100% Hemp - Stock = $120.00, Custom = $140.00
Hemp/Cotton - Stock = $90.00, Custom = $110.00
100% Cotton - Stock = $60.00, Custom = $80.00
Sleeves up to 20% fuller is custom work. But very do-able.
XXL and greater are custom.
If you want something special we can work off of our stock pattern and do almost anything. Send me your ideas. (French cuffs anyone?)
Monograming is not custom, just $6.00
Of course we will keep measurements on file for future orders.
Please remember that all my prices are in Canadian Dollars.
That means that today a stock Cotton shirt costs $52.71 usd.
That's less than what you would pay for a Jacobite shirt in many stores.
Next up the Kilt Vest!!!!!

I love the grandfather style The extra length is also a wonderful idea. I can't spend the money for a couple of months, but I'd definitely be interested when money permits!
I'd also be interested in the kilt vest.

Hello -- this is Kilted Knome, otherwise known as Steve's other half (dare I say better half?....) [Steve says I might be the better half, but he is better dressed]
Someone asked whether the shirts needed to be ironed.
Unlike polyester/cotton, natural fibers do not come out of the dryer looking crisp. If you want crisp, you are going to have to press the shirt.
If you look at the photo of the beige shirt, the right side of the shirt (including the sleeve) is pressed, the left side is not. The difference is there, but it is not dramatic.
100% hemp and 100% cotton will have a tendency to wrinkle with wear. The mixture of hemp and cotton seems to minimize that.

I didn't notice a difference in the 2 sides of the shirt until you pointed it out, and then I had to look hard. What material is it? I would guess that with more washings the wrinkles would become more pronounced.
I really like it. It is a bit understated, not over the top, not costumey, won't distract visually from the kilt, and that length is so practical.

My wife and I were laughing a bit when I showed her the photos of the shirt...we got a catalog from the Duluth company (the one that makes work clothes) and they're featuring extra long t-shirts with the claim that they help prevent "plumber's crack".

What a concept...I'm dealing with a bunch of guys who want jackets that are shorter than normal and shirts that are longer than normal!

ps: real men iron.

You look very distinguished Steve . I prefer the lighter colour shirt. Both shirts have good length
oh! BTW the loop on the sporran in the 1st pic always looks better if you twist it before looping it over the lid ornament
