Condolences
I recently went to a memorial service of a gentleman who had been president of the Scottish St. Andrew's Society of Spokane. I had met him several times and enjoyed his sense of humor. I felt it was right to honor him by wearing a kilt. The widow made a point of thanking me for coming and for wearing highland dress as an honor to him. After the memorial I had the opportunity to speak with his step-daughter-in-law who was dressed in a kilted skirt. She said she wasn’t quite sure about wearing the kilted skirt but had decided that she too wished to honor his memory that way. We both knew we had made the right choice.

My condolences. Your friend would have been honored by both your attendance, and your desire to share with others. God bless.

Thank you all for your kind words, Brian was very aware of the final outcome and was at peace with this, his wife was not sure about the kilt until she and I meet after the funeral and she was very please I had come in it. She also said Brian would have also been pleased as he had always wanted to try on a kilt

I'm sorry to hear of your loss Derek; you honour your mate Brian well.
"Thanks Brian and I would talk about this web site, and he was aware of the outcome of his illness and asked if I would posted ref. his going and a photo of me in a kilt"
You would've made him happy I'm sure.
May you keep his memory close,
Erin.
