    Monimail Tower, by-Cupar, Kingdom of Fife

    Well, I swore I had a picture of myself, in Kilt, atop the tower there...but dang if I caint find it!

    By-the-bye: hope I'm not intruding on your post by putting up these pics... just got excited about the castle pics and wanted to share another good one! Thanks.

    Nice pics, Deil; did you visit St. Andrews much while you were staying at Monimail? My daughter studied at St. Andrews University from 2000 to 2004.

    Thank you. I was able to visit St Andrews on a couple of occasions that I very much enjoyed. Lots of photo ops with georgeous young European girls (I was wearing my Kilt of course)!!! Not to mention the cool ruins of St Andrew's Cathedral! I really enjoyed my stay in Fife alltogether. About one of the bonniest places in Scotland to be sure! I am envious of anyone who got to study at St Andrews as well...

    I really like the turreted staircase. I can't imagine how much work that would have been to build!
