    The kilt's probably pulled in below the sporran because you were sitting down. When you stand up, the kilt tends to bunch a little above/behind the sporran, so it rises just below it. Just give the sporran a little flip as you stand up, or the kilt a quick tug when you're standing, and you won't get that pull.

    This is something I had to learn when I first started wearing a sporran. Because of a large mid-section (ahem), I went to the sporran straps and the problem disappeared.

    A good look for sure.

    I was the same way after wearing UKs for a while. Took some time to get used to the sporran. Now, when I'm in a UK I often reach for things in my sporran - and realize thery're in my side pockets.

    Just what you get used to.

    You might wanna look at Stillwater Kilts nylon sporran. Lighter, more organized. I wear it most every day with tartan kilts now. Seems my hands are trained to go where what I need is. And, I like the zippers for access.

    Betcha you'll be buying more tartan kilts.
