Lovely pictures. In the view where you are standing alone overlooking Irish Hollow your kilt looks like a totally different tartan - or was it a trick of the lighting conditions?

There are many things in life that can detract from what is most important. You sir, seem to have your priorities straight! Very nice photos of the family.

It appears that Celtic and Italian DNA produce some very attractive offspring.
Congrats on a fine family and a good tartan choice. Hope to see the crew one day since we are neighbors.

YES! Galena is about 11 miles northwest of the farm. Chestnut Mt. Ski Area is about 4 miles away. We've owned this place as a summer/weekend vacation home since 1963, and seen all the changes this area has undergone as it was "discovered" by wealthy Chicagoans. I will be going again this summer, so maybe we can get together out there. I'd LOVE to hear piping echo through the hollow.

Me too. I think she was going for more of a vamp look than serious. I used that pic because her eyes were so luminous.

No trick. That's a different day and is my Isle of Skye kilt.

Great family pics. I agree, the smiling pic of Megan is better but the other does show her eyes well.
When you said NW IL you really meant it!! My sister-in-law lives in Clinton, IA and I have loads of family on my Mothers side in the Quad Cities. Great place to vacation.
