If Mel Gibson can do it, I can do it.
Was at Monument Valley, Utah on the Navajo Nation this weekend. Kilt is my Royal Air Force tartan by Kathy Lare. Hose are Matt's Lewis hose. Shoes are Z Coil hikers.
On the way over my lady and I rendezvoused at the Navajo National Monument (Think Mesa Verde without tourists). We walked down to the Betatakin overlook and she took these pics of my RAF kilt in the snow.
The lighting shows the tartan colors well and the back view shows Kathy Lare's perfect pleatwork. Some how, my left flash got pushed to the backside of my leg on the hike down.
The arch in the background of the pleat pic is the "roof" of the Betatakin village. Hopis call the village Talastima. The alcove faces south so it was warmed by the sun in winter and shaded from the sun in the summer.
The Hopi lived there around 1200 AD.
