Is this some new rite of passage?
You know you've 'come out' as a kiltie when there's a pic of you on XMarks doing the Hamish pose.
You know you've been accepted into the kilted community when there's a pic of you on XMarks doing the Hamish pose, and Hamish is in it alongside you.
You know you're the one-and-only kilted legend when you *invented* the Hamish pose!
Best regards

Well! I really am flattered guys; thanks to all for the compliments. Funnily enough, in a conversation only a few days ago, I jokingly suggested that there should be a thread where the wonderful 'Hamish' poses could be exhibited together - and there have been quite a lot of very good ones posted in the past year or two.
Thank you also to Colin for bringing back happy memories of a super evening spent in Port Moody when Dave W. and I visited British Columbia in 2005. Seeing little Nathaniel in the front of that photo brings another smile to my face - he, with his parents, was with us just about every day of our two week stay** and, every time a camera was produced, he would immediately adopt the 'Hamish'! He was just great!
** I should really have said that we were with Nathaniel and his parents just about every day! Raphael and Louise were the kindest and most generous hosts one could ever hope to meet. They made our stay so very special.
That reminds me: I REALLY must get the 'Vancouver 2005 'sub-album finished, and the 'Palm Springs 2006' ditto started within my Photo Album!

Then perhaps, with your blessings, let's do it. might I suggest that all poses be submmited on a seperate thread and every month a winner is chosen and gets to use the signature of "Hamish's Understudy" or "Ham's Ham"for that month. The pose should be judged solely of artistic interpretation of the Master. Every Xmarker is eligible to submit unless they invented said pose. Now you shall be voluntold to be judge? Perhaps somebody not eligible to compete. Nominations gentlemen?
