I had a good experience with them. I ordered my first kilt from them (5 yd. Henderson, ancient) this time last year. It only took about 4 weeks to get here.

I ordered this on Dec. 27 so it really didnt take that long considering it came from Scotland.

I do indeed, James, and I must congratulate McMurdo on being so very fortunate with his purchase from a somewhat potentially 'dodgey' firm. I have visited their shops in Edinburgh a number of times and have been appalled by the poor quality of their merchandise. As on-the-street retailers they are very much into the 'let-us-catch-the-unsuspecting-tourist' type of business, and I am afraid I would not risk buying from them.
This PC looks very nice and I am sure it will serve McMurdo well, but I am slightly concerned by the glimpse of white shirt just below the waistcoat. Short jackets of this type really require to be worn with traditional kilts - those with the full 2" or so 'rise'. McM you are absolutely right not to wear a belt, but I am wondering if a plain black cummerbund would be a good idea, in this instance, just to cover that unfortunate eyecatching white area above your kilt's waistband! It would make a big difference, in my 'umble opinion.

Thank you Hamish for the critique, I had no idea that this was a some what dodgey firm as I only know them from an online experience.
I will perhaps wear it with the more traditional Graham of Menteith kilt, that I am sure I can lay my hands on before Burns night. Alternately I might forgo the waistcoat and go with a belt and a dress buckle.
Thanks again Hamish for your input it is indeed invaluable.

Aye, McM, they have about five 'tourist' shops (all with different names, but all owned by the rather notorious Gold Brothers) on and around Edinburgh's Royal Mile.

Yes, Dress Belt and no waistcoat would work well, but I do prefer to see a w/c worn with a PC jacket. Either way, I am sure you will look (and feel) splendid for your Burns Night.
PS: I am glad to see that you have not 'invested' in Ghillie Brogues. A nice pair of polished business shoes look so much better - again, in my 'umble opinion!
