If anybody asks which tartan that is, tell them "Clan McRasta."

As I seem to hazily recall, there is actually a McMarley name.

I know the reference is to Bob, BUT I keep thinking Jacob Marley.

    "Clan MacMarley" doesn't google anything.
The name Marley itself seems to be English in origin.

(OK, so I took that a bit serious)

I don't remember details. Marleigh? Something. I remember reading it, but don't remember where. Not 100% sure, but I think Marleigh is the old Gaelic speling. I don't remember where my brain picked this up, or even all of the details.

To bring this thread back to its original theme........ (Oooooooo-oooooh!) Like Ron, I have a white UK Workman's model which I've had almost four years and, with regular washing it has kept its good looks - I have never added bleach to the wash; just regular washing powder. I also have a white woollen kilt from "21st Century Kilts" in Edinburgh. This one needs dry-cleaning, but only after several wearings.

Can I help it if I am not a messy eater or drinker, or if I take care not to get my clothing grubby??!

There are photos of both these kilts in my Photo Album - link below.
