Billings, MT fieldwork had my number: we were doing a groundwater study on a PCE plume. I'm still "fingers crossed" that I'll make the next one, though. FWIW, I haven't found anything good for Burns night downtown-and I doubt anybody but me will even think of hoisting one on Feb 13 (for you non Clan Donald folk, it's Glen Coe-go ahead and needle your Campbell friends; just take it with a grain of salt [preferably, rush up on the history]).
Bryan...maybe in February...

Great pictures. I believe we have hiked that very trail in the snow as well. I've also done the six mile hike up to Lawn Lake (but not in the snow).

The Lawn Lake trail follows the Roaring River, one of the better/best Greenback cutthroat trout streams in the park, if not the front range.

Those are very nice! At times, photos like these, make me want to move back to where the snow is. And then I remember..... The shovelling!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Tha's my story too. I grew up in the midwest (Cleveland, OH - Rochester, NY) and although the snow is beautiful, all I have to do is remember shovelling 3 feet of snow out of the driveway as a kid. All of a sudden, I don't miss snow.
