Todays workplace can sometimes be a dangerous minefield, both for the employee and for the manager. You did the right thing in going directly to your boss and giving her a chance to fix the issue. I would also recommend going directly to HR. Company's in the US are in a constant state of fear regarding law suits and would likely respond to this particular issue in a rather strong fashion.
Of course, if you can find another job easily, sometimes discretion is the better part of valour.
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

There are a lot of variables here. But, I don't believe I would be giving up my job over it all. Someone else would.

To paraphrase Patton I believe it was "Don't [lose your job], make the other person [lose] his!"
That'd be my outlook on it anyway.

-I'm always hearing stories like yours, either work or school related.
-I'm always giving the same suggestion, JOIN YOUR CLAN/FAMILY/DISTRICT SOCIETY. Aside from the benefits of kinship and celebration, they go to bat for their members over such situations. Sometimes other clan societies join in as well.
-If they saw you wearing a kilt off the clock, and chose to be-little you at work.... they have nothing on you.
-We all have faced some insult at one time or another, so we all can empathize your situation. (I left a job over some Bulgarian friends who were being treated extremely poorly over several occurances).
-Get a FREE legal consultation, the lawyer will usually make 1 or 2 free of charge phone calls on your behalf. This really puts the heat on folks, and often resolves the situation right away.
-Write a letter to your employer, restate your situation and displeasure with other employees. Use historical references to describe how what they did to you mimics Scottish history.. Maybe something like 1746-1783, hint, hint. Send this letter as a Registered Letter, your boss will have to sign for it.
Hang in there buddy!

That sounds like some incredibly misinformed advice from a manager. Do what you feel you have to do for your own sake but that sounds like it's making you the problem, not the other two jerks. It's their problem and the company's problem and responsibility to deal with it. I can't believe anyone in this day and age would give an answer like that. If you quit I would say that leaves you with little recourse but as others have said, I'm not a lawyer and I don't play one on TV. Talk to someone who knows! Good luck and I'm sorry for the trouble you've had with this.

I know that we aren't supposed to get in to legal discussions here, so I'd say check with an attorney, but here are 2 thoughts to ponder:
1. Does the company have a Human Resources Dept? It'd be worth speaking to them about it and documenting the meeting (asking them to document it as well and maybe having them give you a copy of the meeting notes or something to prove you were there).
2. Is your state an "employment at will" state? Some states have the right to fire anyone at any time for any or NO reason... called Employment at will. PA is one. If it is, you may have no recourse...

Pretty sure Texas is.
Sir Robert is right. Calling a lawyer might be worth it, but taking care of yourself and getting on with your life will pay the biggest dividends.

Great Ideas!
Some cities have their own organizations too.

A lawyer calling HR is the way to go. It'll scare hell out of upper management and likely get those fools demoted at least, if not outright fired.
