Should I ever get in to the clothing creation business, I plan to base my business on hemp based products. Vests, coats, kilts, whatever.

That was a great review, Dread. I always so enjoy the authenticity and "do you" attitude in your posts.

Good review Dread, I agree it is a heavy kilt, and I love it, you really feel like you have something secure around you, no worries about wind!
I bought my first hemp kilt in April last year, I wear it to work nearly every day and it hold up really well.
I've learned to forget about "perfect pleats" and enjoy this work kilt for what it is.
RKilts hemp kilt really takes the knocks, the leather is fantastic, Robert is accomplished at leatherwork.
Personally, I never wear a sporran with it, i find the pockets more than adequate. I've used them for nails, screws, all sorts of tools, Phones, PDA's. They are tough!
I hear there may be a blue-ish hemp available soon, I'd love one is dark green too.
Hemp is incredible! best work kilt ever, bar none!
Finally, don't believe a word I've said, if you do, you'll be ordering a hemp kilt and Robert will be too busy to make another for me

I have said it a number of times, Robert is the king of Contemporary utility style kilts in all fabrics including and especially leather. His leather kilts and custom straps and accessories are unrivaled so far today. Worth every penny for a custom made kilt in this style from R- kilts.
Enjoy the kilt.
Great job again Robert

I'm sitting here reading this review in (as far as I know) the only undyed/natural hemp RKilt. They are very nice, aren't they?
Like Dread and Graham, my pleats aren't perfect. But for everyday wear I don't have anything better. And when going hiking through the snow with the dog for an hour in 4ºF, it's just as warm as my 16 oz. box pleat (and I'm less concerned about snagging it on thorns).

I was just wishing for green, no word on it. Robert is always on the lookout for new colours (note the 'proper' spelling)
There may be a sorta blue coming out.
I agree, Robert is the king of contemporary kilts IMHO. (mind you, an unhappy first experience with UK didn't help).
I like hemp mostly because it doesn't need 350 washings in a cement mixer to soften it, it's soft and cuddly right away (like me).

OK we have to get this thread locked down. I just ordered a pv and won't be able to afford one of Robert's kilts for some months.
