Thanks for the info cavscout. Puts me in mind of several old 60's and 70's songs I could use. And one VERY annoying one for when I want to get out of a very boring meeting

Then using a data cable (USB) you should be able to upload it to the phone and play it as an mp3 (sounds better than a midi).

I currently use "American Woman" for my wifes ring tone and "Cashmere" and "Sweet Child of Mine" for my other calls.
Hmmm. I'd be interested in this too.

Not all phones play mp3s. I've got a midi of Scotland the Brave on mine. PM me your email address if you want it.

AudioGizmo is the software I used. It lets you edit the song to get just what you want, put it in whatever format you need and then it will send the file to a server where you can download it to your phone.

My neighbour has Scotland the Brave as his ringtone. Must ask him where he obtained it. A 'phone I had previously had enabled the user to customise your own tune, using the dialling numbers in a different mode to programme in the notes, and I had it set up to play The Rowan Tree as ringtone.

There are several. I use Audacity, but that's mostly because it's available for Linux (you can get it for Windows, BTW). Diamond Cut and Cool Edit are other good ones for Windows, but they cost.

I use Motley Crue's "Shout at the Devil" as a ringtone. It's great fun on the bus when a bunch of gangster types are looking at the big white guy dressed in black with a pentacle hanging around his neck at the back of the bus.

AAC stands for Advanced Audio Coding & it's the digital audio compression format used by Apple for their iTunes store.
