Hamish,
Pamela and I have planned on visiting England, Scotland, Ireland and France for a few years. Perhaps this is the nudge we need to make it happen. Put me down for a tentative maybe.

Hamish -- Great idea!
Count me amongst the interested. Depending on dates, my wife might also join in.
Best regards

What timing! Gina and I having been planning to return to your side of the pond in 2008! Now I know what month we'll be doing it. I may have to enter into indentured servitude but we'll be there.

Eeeeeek! What a response! I make that in the region of 25 'possibles' (which includes the 'probables' and the 'certainlies') in just 24 hours. That's incredible. I was expecting maybe ten or twelve at the most, at this stage.
If this all goes ahead, it looks like I will be obliged to cast a wider net regarding finding accommodation in the vicinity. There might also be transport problems - there being little or no public transport for miles around the village, which is itself a mile away from my home! However, problems can be overcome and there is plenty of time yet.
Anyone know of a char-à-banc hire company in this area?!!

Hamish,
You're too modest. Many of us here feel that no trip to the British Isles would be complete without a visit to the "Laird of Lochaber," and your offer of an open house, with sixteen months notice no less - you should be surprised at the low turnout so far. The queue, as they say, forms on the right.
As for myself, I would be interested, and I'll be keeping it in mind when planning next year's vacation.
