I love model railroading. I have all the track and supplies to make a small N scale layout. That has unfortunately been packed away and put on a back burner for now. After building the base, I quickly realized how little space I had in my apartment. Someday, I hope to have a basement large enough to complete my layout.

I remember seeing that tunnel on my map as I hiked through that section on the Pacific Crest Trail. Due to fires and such, this sign was necessary on the road to the town:

It's still quite a railroad town, with a lot of logging in the area.
