    I've already been through there (I thru-hiked the AT in 2004), but I really enjoyed the town of Harpers Ferry. Except for the train whistles throughout the night as I was trying to sleep on the front porch of the outfitter.

    It's good you did it in 2004, and not in 1859... back then there were 200 - 300 (smaller) trains a day coming through Harpers Ferry!

    If you ever get back this way we can tip a few at The Anvil.
