Like Ham, I'm concerned about the various maple leaf tartans - worse, I'm guessing its one of those tartans that monitors play hell with and the only safe decisions are from a eyeball on a swatch. Maybe next highland games that rolls around I'll ask to see the kiltmaker's swatch books.
But that confusion has put me off the decision making for a while. Do come from a line of folks from Nova Scotia that moved on south so don't think there's ever been a time in my life I didn't own a Hudson's Bay Blanket....the ex took 'ours' during the divorce proceedings. Didn't fight it, let her have the old one and bought me a new one. Still have it and still use it.
Did I miss what mill wove your maple leaf tartan? Its still on my list to honor the branches of my family that spent many generations there...some from the clearances...and a few Loyalists seeking safety.
