Dude, you've taken kilting to new heights. Slainte.

Thanks for the great comments all!
Steve, no need for anything under the kilt except basic underwear just in case a fall were to occur...wouldn't want any untoward rashes in the wrong places. The kilt does occasionally fly up, but that heavy wool drops things back in place quite quickly.
Believe it or not, I am not the only kilted skier in the area. One guy, Bradley, makes it his mission to ski kilted so long as the BASE temperature (not the summit temperature) is 20 degrees F or higher (that's -7 celsius for all you crazy metric people out there).
The kilt, because of all the wool, ends up keeping my lower body warm, even when moving fast down the slope. My kneecaps get a little chilly, but as soon as I stop, they heat up again.

Oh yeah,
I want to give credit to the x-marks kilt pin for staying put and looking good. Also, it did generate some questions and I was proud to answer them as an x-marks member. BTW, the run from the video is the ridge with the lift in the background of the photo.

Looks great but I think I'll stick to kilted golf in the summers instead.

Very cool to see the vid. Still skiing photos don't have the same effect. O'Neille

Cloves,
I got those hose from the folks at the celtic craft centre when i picked up my c/kilt at the Estes Park games. I dont remember if they were an in-house brand or not. Anyway, the hose are 100% wool and surprisingly comfy in ski boots. Here's a link to the celtic craft centre: http://www.celticcraftcentre.com/
