Very Nice Matt, Thanks for the pic. I was thinking how great it would also look with a contrasting vest like Solid Blue or Grey.

Yeah, I know the shoes are not perfect. I have another pair of brown shoes that I think better match the sporran, and I actually put them on this morning when I got dressed, then decided that these other shoes looked better with the socks. And since the shoes are closer in proximity to the socks than to the sporran, this pair won out. :-)
I could avoid the question entirely and wear black. Now I know what Ham was talking about when he said how hard it is to match brown leathers with blue.

I think you'd look good in a tweed kilt ensemble Dread. Sort've like a pirate that means business.

Name one pirate that didn't mean business good sir...
My personal hankering is for a purplish tweed kilt and a Jacobite shirt, hopefully in a Hawaiian print. I am painfully curious as to how that would look.
Although Mr. Newsome makes me curious if I could pull of an entire suit, but I doubt it. I am just not the handsome sort that does well with suits.
But by damn, he does make it look so good.

So I brought the wife in here to look at the tweed suit. I explained to her that this is the fellow who made my Henderson weathered kilt. She thought the kilt suit was nice... but raised her eyebrows, waived at Mr. Newsome, said "Hiiiii" and scurried off giggling.
Hmmm.

Tweed neck to knee my dear Dread. Nobody would notice your crooked nose. .
I'm not sure about purplish, you're no Dirka. Might I suggest a soft Lovat green tweed to compliment your lovely brides eyes?
