that might actually work well since my kilt pin is on order from Robin. if it hasn't gone into the mail yet, might might make it easier for shipping.

    Gordon,

I wear the Lovat green hose and red flashes with my Mackenzie modern all the time. Personally I think it looks better than the bottle green. I also use black, navy blue, and charcoal with that kilt. Of course the hose colour usually depends on what else is being worn with my kilt. I won't wear a navy shirt and charcoal hose.

Here one with the Lovat green and matching MacKenzie modern flashes at a wedding a few years ago

Here's another example at another wedding (Please ignore the horribly wrong jacket, as it was early days in my kiltwearing, and my charcoal tweed had not yet been ordered )

Reasonable prices somewhere anywhere? Non-wool would be my preference.

They have a plain ribbed sock which is great and they also have a new cable knit sock that is a bit thinner but a lot longer for a nice thick cuff at the top. These are especially good for guys with larger calves that standard kilt hose would be uncomfortably tight on.

He's adding a lot of colors, so give him a call and see what is available now.

This is one of my favorite Kilted pictures. I really like the lovat blue hose with the ancient colors of the tartan:

I really want some red hose now

    Colin,
Thanks! I like the lovat green, and was thinking of navy or red to give it a go. I have a pair of black flashes I could wear with the red. Or maybe buy some green flashes with the navy socks.
