I say Jim, that is quite neighborly of you. I lived in the detroit area for 9 years. Wish I was kilted then...

I apologize for "barging in" like this, just couldn't find an email address for anyone without registering for the forum. If any of you are pipers, perhaps we've met before. I play with Strathroy Legion Pipe Band, although since opening the pub its been hard to get to band practice. All right then, take care and hope to see you soon.
No barging in at all!!! WELCOME!! We would be more that happy to have you around on a regular basis!!
Thank you, for the most gracious invite! Things are taking off a little slow this time around, but we'll get it going.
As for pipers, I don't know of any localy. Our very own Gaisgeil is a Drummer in a pipe band! Would you have any problem if we had a piper and drummer show up and maybe play a couple of tunes? We don't want to step on any toes..

Hey, that's great. Thanks for the welcome. Pipes and drums are indeed welcome at Full Kilt. I'll have my pipes with me when you're there. Friday and Saturday nights are certainly OK. Dinner usually turns over around 830 or 9pm. Then the bar crowd picks up. There is a band or a DJ on those nights starting around 10pm, so the music will deviate from the Celtic concept a bit (pop/rock). Folks like to drink, dance, etc and we try to keep 'em happy of course. The place is pretty huge so we need to cater to various groups, on those nights.
This might sound a little different but Sunday afternoons and evenings are pretty cool at the Kilt. We're in the process of starting a Celtic Sunday music program where we'll let various groups show up and play. I'll keep you up to date on that. Also there's a lot of games this time of year on the HD plasma TVs. We can certainly wail on the pipes and drums that day too. Feel free to post or email me any questions. Slainte Mhor.

Sorry to hear you'll be gone on the 12th...I grew up in the Clem, and I may be stopping by!

It sounds like the 12th is no go for most of us, and after thinking about it, it was bad timing with Mothers Day..
Should we shoot for 19th or look at next month???

I just saw this... Thanks for the heads up Paul.
I'm out for the month of May as far as I can tell. Sorry fellas.
Sorry it's but since it's sort of regional.
If anyone wants to spend an afternoon in the company of one kilted man, a kilted 2 year old and his friends, family and neighbors.... I am having a late birthday party for Nicholas. We always have an outside party a month after his birthday as kind of a kick off to summer party. If anyone's interested, give me a shout. Good food, great people and the party ends when the last man/woman standing looses their battle with gravity. FYI, it's 88 miles North of where we had the last kilt night.
