Thanks for sharing these. In my previous life I spent a lot of time in Morpeth and got to explore the riever country extensively, so these photos bring back fond memories. My father's family Dodds came from N Ireland but I have always believed we are descended from one of the riever families, albeit on the English side of the border.

Yes that's why I was so keen to get this one. My mother's four uncles all emigrated to Canada and so all the remaining family on my mother's side are in Canada. Also, two of Ann's uncles emigrated to Canada and she had an older cousin who served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and was killed in action.

And if Riverkilt didn't have such a penchant for doughnuts in the first place it would've been mine! Enjoy it and take care of it. I've got dibs on it in ten years.
