Some times you have to take a leap of faith, I did with this one and Wow! i'm glad I did, it's one nice kilt and as advertized. Don't worry Wompet, this kilt will get a lot of wear at our kilt nights you will see it and you will order one after. Of that I'm confident.

More importantly, the solid will replace a pair of uniform p@nts, so I need to at least try to come close to matching their color.)
A quick read of FK's history shows that Steve designed his kilt for office wear and the FK style does look good in solid colour. I think that the side cargo pockets might detract from that look but by all means consider his hidden pocket options.

I've "caught" seams and pleats and flaps and pocket opening, and... well, you get the idea. Buttons that catch? Just more potential pain!)
Those buttons do add to the styling a great deal. The next FK I was to order I was going to ask Steve if he could try to seat my buttons more. Hey, Steve's an engineer right? Let's challenge him!

Alex it is possible that the earlier FK's did not have the flag detail. As for my concerns of the durability of the flag my be unfounded, we have yet to hear from the master on both regards. I've come to the awareness that I need some sand coloured socks to complete the look and will be checking out my local army surplus store (owner is a fellow CG volunteer I might add). On the older Canadian fatigues is a small Candian flag (roughly 1½" x ¾"), red and white in peacekeeping missions and two shades of green for combat. If you pm me your shipping address I shall send you one for your CADPAT kilt. Needle & thread will be your responsibility.

Aye Alex, There never was a Canadian flag on the FK CADPAT...so it didn't wear off, just never was....great idea though...
And hey Grant. Try a disposable camera, then have it developed to a disc and you're ready to go with on line pics.
Tell you what folks, you're gonna get your money's worth (spelled VALUE) when you buy a Freedom Kilt.

I have to agree on the camo from Steve. I am the lucky one who got Ron's hand-me-down. It is a thing a beauty. This is the first time I have been clothed in any camo since I graduated from the University of Southeast Asia in 1970. Wear it in good health.

Alex, this is similar to what I was suggesting but instead of black background it's khaki. Picked up 16, 1 for C152T, 5 for LK-13 (you owe me buddy ).
This reminds me of the story of an American women upon entering Canada seeing the maple leaf proudly flying in the breeze and commenting:
"Oh what a pretty flag! Does it come in different colors?"
