Actually, "frekin" would have to be pronounced with a short e sound. It would rhyme with Shrek, fleck, and speck. I'm pretty sure that no one says it that way. You would have to spell it with a double e to get the long e sound, rhyming with speak, leak, or peek.
The rules of grammar are not suspended by popular culture, they are just temporarily ignored until such time as it becomes embarrassing not to understand them.
