For sure Herman.
Its a great loop for kilt photos from Tsegi Canyon/Black Mesa/Betakin on 160 up 98 past White Mesa and Kaibeto (an easy dirt road side trip to White Mesa Arch), Page and Glen Canyon/Antelope Canyon, Cottonwood Wash Road (easy dirt even rental cars do it) up to The Narrows, Grosvenor Arch, Kodachrome Basin, Bryce Canyon, and back down to Zion Canyon, then the North Rim and Kaibab Plateau, down to Houserock Valley and Lees Ferry/Paria Canyon, along the Echo Cliffs to the Painted Desert and Tuba City, up to Red Lake, down Navajo 7 through Blue Canyon to 264, east to the Hopi mesas, up to Low Mountain from Polacca then back over Navajo 4 through Cottonwood to Chinle again.
Every mile a beautiful one and a photo op for a kiltie.
I can't believe I wasted all those years living in the concrete and asphalt jungle...the electric anthill...
Kilt up and sally forth.

Great shots, Ron. And a nice kilt to boot.
Reminds me of the Gordon Highlanders kilt from the distance the photos were shot.

Aye, its hard to get the intricate color work to show well, particularly the black...but get this kilt in the sunlight and it explodes with color.

Not that far north...only about sixty miles north of the line. All dirt road though.
Weird, been wanting to check out Cottonwood Road before...had been about 15 miles up for some kilt pics, but never went on up. Never dreamed the dirt road would be as well mainained....of course it was dry too. The signs that say "Impassable when wet" are accurate...that clay gets wet and no one is going anywhere...have heard the stories of Cottonwood Road when wet.
