Plenty of MSPs etc wear the kilt but mainly to formal occasions not as everyday dress. But that is fairly general in Scotland.
Maybe now we will have a leader who will always put Scotland and the Scots first - let's wait and see.

That is a rare shot of a kilted Alex.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that he once said he wouldn't wear a kilt until Scotland became independent?

to be fair to Jack he wasnt so bad, he pushed the smoking ban through, hes worked hard to combat knife crime and sectarianism, so farewell Jack the lad and welcome Alex, Ive never really rated Alex Salmond until i saw a speech he mad recently and he has improved his pubic speaking skill immeasurably, Im a big fan of Nicola Sturgeon I think she would capture the imagination of women voters and young people, I hope Salmond recognises that.

good luck Alex and well done the SNP
