David, is J. Peasemold Gruntfuttock attending with you as well? If so, could you get his autograph for me? He's a personal hero.

Oh, pour old soul. I had no idea she was Bathchair-bound now but, at our age, maybe I shouldn't be so surprised! Perhaps she will allow me to give her a bit of a push at Harpenden - there are several rather fast downhill runs in the vicinity. She might enjoy those.
She told he with tears in her eye about the happy times together with you......She did wonder if you still have that bottle of Stangast and Boyles Patented Horse linament and paint stripper. And hope that the rash and the swelling have now got better....
Well, I don't still have the SAME bottle, tell her, but I am never without a supply of that excellent product - I would not be the man I am today had I not been introduced to it at an early age. I will, of course, discuss all my ailments with Dame Bella at The Gathering (Oh, I really DO hope she will be able to face the journey) as she was always very interested in my little troubles and problems, but do thank her for her concern and tell her that the rash - that rash - is a thing of the past, but the swellings still come and go. Of course, I am used to them after all these years but strangers are sometimes not a little surprised by them!
Ps.
Don't forget to bring the Metal polish for the warthog... You know he gets a bit uppity without it.
No, I won't forget. There is a new one on the market, especially formulated for silver which I will bring. He'll like that and it will suit his complexion perfectly. You never know to whom he will take a shine next - it could be any of us.

Just a word to those who may have ordered their half-price entry programmes on-line:
I have heard from one of the organising committee that the printing of the programmes has been delayed. They will, however, be despatched by the end of this coming week.
Looking forward to seeing everyone who can make it there. Details of our meet-up point will be announced next week (once we have the layout plan of the Park!) but, for those who attended last year, we'll probably aim for the same spot.

Delayed programmes
I have received an email to the effect that the programmes have been held up at the printers. I imagine all who have ordered online have received the same mail.
I'll look out for the details of the meeting point when I return from my holiday in the Balearics, where I am going especially to ensure my knees are suitably browned before being exposed to the world (well, Harpenden).
By the way, does anyone know details on car parking, is there a car park? or do we park where we can?

The large FREE car park is usually across the road from Rothamsted Park, Martin, on the wide expanses of open grass alongside St. Albans Road immediately to the south of Harpenden High Street. Previously there have been stewards on duty directing us on arrival. The entry to the Park is set back from the main road and is easily missed, but find the car parking area (very visible) and you will not go wrong!
