Thanks for the detailed burn test info Steve. Takes me back to my college textiles class where they tought us that.
I still do unintentional burn tests when I use a candle lighter to burn the Irish pennants off my garments. I still pay attention. On kilts I find many readily available threads poking out from the belt/sporran loops. Also often find them on the inside of the kilts.
Not really vital since I know the fabrics used in the kilts I buy, but a nice verification.
And....I've been unsuccessfully trying to light some celery so I'll know that smell...can't get it going though.
