Your mountain reminds me of the mountains between Phoenix and San Diego on Interstate 8. The side facing Arizona resembles boulders stacked one on top of another.

That makes me feel good. It was the best mountain I could make with limited resources. But I'll bet the mountains you are describing aren't also an active volcano like the Trollenburg! How a train can go through an active volcano is a question best left to the people of Fretwell Falls )

Only a small layout representing the final few yards of a branch line.
Canadian X-markers will recognise the Via Rail Budd RDC.

The Caledonian railway pug engine hauls a short train of whisky wagons.

The corner includes two churches, a chapel and a shrine.

Emerging from the two short tunnels the train runs behind Gilnockie Tower and the village church with its clock tower.

Rounding the final corner. In the foreground, the finish point for the half marathon race has been set up in the main shopping drag, hence the traffic at a standstill.

Alongside the terminus. The backscene illustrates buildings from Haslingden in Cheshire in the North of England.

I have some HO and G scale. All are vintage steamers (pre 1900) and trolley cars. No room to set up a layout at this time, so everything is in storage or on display.
