This one looks like a dress Gordon (on the right).

As a keen Scottish Country Dancer I am thankful that I know the real meaning of the Gay Gordons, which is a lovely dance.
It's a shame to see the name distorted like this. Not even this parade makes me ashamed to wear a kilt, but it does come close!

I'm With you on that one Graham. loampooning is one thing. I'm a bit sick and tired of the direction things are going. A proud history and heritage, is being reduced to this...

For what it's worth #1: the pics of this event are a lot tamer and, I don't really know the right word, but less sexual behavior oriented and more community focused than what the media shows of pride parades here.
For what it's worth #2: the Gordon's adjective has been a snicker for a very long time, I'm sure the soldier boys have their ways of dealing with it so we don't have to take offense for them.
For what it's worth #3: if you want to think nasty thoughts, and I don't really advocate that, consider all these people meeting up afterwards in a pub. Get the nasal picture of all these guys with soaking wet wool kilts that are now starting to steam. Not a pretty picture.
For what it's worth #4: #3 that could happen to any of us on any kilt night. Dwell on common points, the walls keep good people from meeting good people.
Hmm, I think I'll start a thread on how to deal with #3 when in it comes up.

I'm straight, but have many connections to the gay and gender communities through work and friends. I've found two ways to deal with being "accused" of being gay.
1) If it's a woman, "I'm not, but you don't have to take my word for it."
2) If it's a guy, "Please. Don't flatter yourself."

I believe we now know that it is not, although it certainly looks black and white on my monitor! However, the one on the left is a plain black barathea, probably a 6 yarder, from TFCK (21st Century Kilts). The lad is sporting the unique TFCK lightening flash kilt pin too!
A similar kilt was my first TFCK purchase back in 1999 - now I have 17 from the TFCK stable, with another due in September.
I have attended numerous Pride events, mainly in Brighton which is nearby and, of course, I have always been kilted. This year's Brighton Pride is three weeks from today - anyone care to meet up there?
