I had a look at your website earlier today. I liked the denim kilt though with the narrow front apron it does look rather similar to the denim Union Kilt which I have already. These narrow front aprons won't impress the traditionalists though I find them very practical for sitting as the overlaps fall over opposite legs giving the impression of longish shorts when sitting.
I'm one of those "neo-traditionalists." If it's silly and it works better, then it isn't silly. I kind of like a (slightly) narrower apron. I think there's room for something between a true traditional kilt cut and a UK type narrow apron.

Welcome to the forum. Looked at your web site. Kilts look great. I particularly liked the look of the faux leather. I wish you well with the business.

Welcome. It's always nice to hear from/about a new kilt maker. Good luck.

Jeanie, first a big welcome! ! !
Yes we are open and honest with our feelings, but we also believe that everyone should do things their own way if they want to. There are no kilt police here.
Also if you are Scottish or have Scottish heritage, that is great, but if you are not Scottish and have no Scottish heritage that is also great.
I believe that xmarksthescot is not about Scottish heritage, it is about love of the kilt and love of wearing the kilt and if you like, love of making the kilt.
So enjoy
