Well Baptists for Brownback certainly seem to think so!

Skirt, Kilt, who cares? The Scots I play poker with online get on the chat and tell me they just saw pics of me "flyin' tha skirt". They don't mean it as a derogative.
Some people will call it a skirt to be ignorant. I know it's a kilt, don't care to educate the ignorant. Have more important things to do. Like take a nap, make another kilt, explore the mysteries of the remote control.
More on topic I like the story. Public interest is starting to pick up. My neighbor Jim just tried on his PDK (perldogkilt) after beltloops and pockets he is another kilted man on the street.
My Utilikilt got Jim interested in kilts. I have a wish list of things I would rather they do or don't do, but they put alot of men in kilts. That is a good thing. Glad to see them get some well deserved press.

seems all the traffic generated from the AP story and Yahoo took it's toll...
this is from a Myspace bulletin from Utilikilts
Well, the AP TV news story on Utilikilts hit the internet last weekend, and last night Yahoo posted it to the front of their Yahoo News site.
...and all the traffic melted our web server!
So please be patient! We are working on getting it back up and running just as soon as possible...
shortly followed by this one...
OK. Through some amazing work by our web site hosts (Florentine Design Group), we have a basic web site back up and running.
So if ya wanna buy a kilt, you can now visit the web site again.
Although it is always more fun to talk to our Salesdudes in person: 866-666-6985
Full web site functionality should be back again by the end of the weekend.
Although we did just appear on AOL and a couple of other newsfeeds....! This is shaping up to be a long weekend!
I have noticed that their site appear to be back and running like always... glad to see them get the traffic, but I'm sure that it was a bit much all at once...

I did like the piece, but what's with the two guys' anti-Scottish prattle? The one guy says kilts are alright for people of certain ethnicities and then that last guy with the whole "slippery slope" comment... like having a little shot of some kind of European culture of any kind would be a bad thing? Bah, I hate ignorant people.
Anyway, I agree, the traffic to utilikilts' website is good, as is the growing exposure... maybe one day I can wear my kilt to work!!!
