I have to agree w/ Hamish on both points above:

    Congratulations David & Helen.

Thanks once again for some great pics Alex.

    Thanks, Alex

    Alex,
It was a great pleasure to meet Ann and you along with the rest of the rabble, last Saturday. We had two glorious days after that in Dumfries, but I'll start another thread on that. Thanks for posting your pictures, you have some shots I don't have.

Regarding the belt pouch, I made the first one for Cloves. I used this one for a camera case. It worked well but I'll make some modifications to make it better.

I'll be posting my pictures over the next few days.

Emma and Robertson, thanks for your warm and generous hospitality!
Donald and Steven were lots of fun, too!

    Warm regards,
    Tom

    Aye Ron,
I have been struck by that fact myself. I have two denim jackets in my closet that I mothballed due to my spreading demensions a few years back now that I am on the decline in the weight department, I think I will go did them out and see what happens.

    More Pictures

Here are some more pictures at the beginning of our trip to Scotland.
These are after arrival at Ferintosh on 28 July.
    A welcoming whisky with Robertson

This is your reward for arriving in a kilt. Believe me, after going through security checks 3 times at airports, I earned that drink!

This is the wall of fame for Xmarkers who arrive wearing a kilt. Better hurry and make your plans before he runs out of room.

In the garden behind Ferintosh. Donald and Steven from Ayr came down for a night out. Donald portrays Robbie Burns at Burns Night Suppers, among other accomplishments. Steven is a distinguished professor, and a gentleman.
    Both were great fun.

Alex and Ann came up for the evening also and we all met at Cavens. Food was great.

Last but not least, our generous hosts, Emma and Robertson, who organized the evening. I'm not much of a drinker, but by the end of 3 days, Robertson had educated my palate somewhat.

More pics to follow. We spent 2 full days and 3 nights in Dumfries before returning to Glasgow and joining a tour.

Many thanks to Emma, Robertson, Donald, Steven, Alex and Ann for your hospitality.
    Tom
