You know you guys, I like the fabric he chose. The sett may be big, but I think it looks good.
I'm a fan of all the Clan Maccouch tartans.
Wortmonger, I am still looking forward to seeing this progress.

stunted flight pattern
Well, sorry to say I won't be starting on it until late August at best right now. I am heading to Lubbock to finish some things and when I get back I may get the sewing machine, lol, no I will just early September. I know the sett is big, but I was planning on a cross shape in the red on the front apron and then box pleating where the back only has vertical red in the underpart of the pleats. I only picked this fabric because it was free and plaided. I know there will be some obstacles because of sett size and other, but that is why I want to learn on this one. Besides, no matter what kilt I wore at the course they would all look at it and laugh, so whats wrong with a big table cloth ?
