Look on the Conway/ North Conway area of NH. Route 112 (Kankamaugus Highway) it connects you directly to the games and it is 32 miles of the prettiest drive you can do in the area.
I will be pedaling to the games fron Conway.

I'll be going to the highland games, it will be my first one, iv'e intended to go each of hte last 4 years, but i've missed it for one reason or another being out of town.
The kankamangus is one of hte most gorgeous drives in the entire eastern united states at the right time of year... and the highland games are right around that time. I'm hoping that i can get a campsite for thurs fri and saturday in one of hte locations near loon.

P.S. I've got my reservation now at Lafayette Campground, Big Rock and i forget the other one just a mile down the kankamangus do not take reservations and are fcfs, i didnt want to risk that. If others going get campsites at the lafayette in fanconia notch, we could get together and have a good time. I'm going to be staying at the lafayette from thursday evening (driving up after work) through sunday morning.

We'll be there!
Ordered tickets and have a motel room for Friday and Saturday nights.
Planning to be there for Saturday and Sunday with partner and Grandboy Donovan.
When I went to the MA Highland games, we all seemed to miss one another. Any chance we could plan to meet somewhere, sometime on Saturday? Get some pics and meet one another??? I've never been so I don't know where to suggest but it would be great fun. Maybe we could meet at the Geoffrey Tailor booth and get some pics for Hamish and the website. Say 2PM?? Check the schedule and see if that works for those of you who will attend.
Woo-hoo . . . can't wait!

Hi Guys,
Whilst you are at Loon Mountain, look out for the 'Geoffrey (Tailor)/21st Century Kilts' booth. They will be there. I am not too sure who is manning the booth, but it might be Hugh and Tristan, or Geoffrey himself with his wife, Lorna. Whoever it is, introduce yourselves and tell them Hamish Bicknell sent you! They're all good friends of mine.
Oh, and enjoy the Games!

2PM Saturday at the TFCK booth sounds good to me. jmercier and I got adjacent campsites at Lafayette Campground and I don't know who else but we will definately have to have a better plan than the MA games. There were 4-5 XMarkers there and we never met each other. I'll be the fat, bald guy with 4 kids all in Black Watch . I'm arriving Friday afternoon and plan on attending a few of the Friday night festivities before sitting around the fire with my friend Glen Livet
