I've heard that, actually. I've also heard that Nurse Practitioners aren't given the kind of authority they have in the US, and that the pay is lower. I'm just thinking that perhaps some of those trade-offs are worth it to live in the Highlands.

The best thing to do if you want to work in the UK is go to www.usajobs.com and apply for a GS position at a base you can neg. relocation you get COLA ( cost of living adjustment ) on top of your pay, you can shop at the PX so you can pay in US $ not in pounds you get full Gov. benifits. They are always looking for Nurses, PTs OTs and PAs.
It is the best way to work overseas

Hmm, that's an interesting idea as well. And I imagine that veteran status is a plus, there. Hmmm.
