I'll definitely be there! Thanks for the link drobin. I've been planning on going since I heard about it at the Flagstaff games.

Tucson's world-famous Calexico are playing a free show at Reid Park that Saturday night - that should be a must-see for those coming from out of town as well. Celtic Festival winds up around 5, Calexico's playing - about 15 minutes away - until 8:30 or so. Then continue the festivities at the Dubliner...
Sounds like a helluva day to me.

They're coming along, I'm learning "Rowan Tree" right now, a nice simple tune to add. I've got a new Gibson Poly chanter to replace the flatter sounding Hardie, I'm still not sure what to think of it. Maybe I should try some other brand reeds. I'm still crazy about my new Gibson Ceilidh pipes.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing you and RetroRed again!

Unfortunately, it's looking like I won't be able to make it this year.
I'm entertaining/MCing at a wedding & reception on Sunday, Nov 4th, & since I'm involved with the wedding ceremony (providing music & sound support), I need to be at the rehearsal on Saturday. I was planning on holding that weekend open, but since the bride is a friend & former co-worker, I really couldn't turn her down.
From now to the end of the year is a real busy time for my DJing business between outdoor Fall weddings & holiday parties. So, I'll be busy most weekends until the New Year. (Also why I'll be MIA at Sonoran Scotsmen Kilt Nites for a while.)
All the money I'll be making will be a poor substitute, though, for the camaraderie I'll be missing with all you guys at the Festival. I had a great time last year. Aye, raise a glass for me at the Dubliner - I'll be wishin' I was there.

As strange as it may sound, it looks like I will be able to make it!
I'll have to get my kilt back from Ohio!

Alright, I think I am in as well. I'ts about a seven hour drive for me, so I'll leave Friday around Midnight, eat a nice big pancake breakfast somewhere, then compete in the games for the next eight hours or so.
After that, I'll probably join the crew at Auld Dubliners and load up on iced tea before heading back home that night.
