Aye, our local high school American football team's colors are black and red. Early on I wore my Black Stewart kilt to the games. Since I got my Cameron Black and Red I wear that. Nary a problem with bleacher navigation.
For them that ain't seen the Cameron black and red...its from the House of Edgar's old and rare collection. Goes great with the team colors.

And yes, it really is pleated in back....

Beautiful night, in the 70's, too.
As far as the kilt...
Barely a glance! No comments, nor questions.
Quite enjoyable!
Now, I wonder what my daughter's reaction will be to her old man appearing in kilt, at her soccer matches?
OH! I just thought of something...
My daughter was nominated for Homecoming Queen, at school.
(It's kind of a big deal 'round here)
Dads traditionally escort their daughters to the events/festivities surrounding homecoming.
Wonder what she'd say to me escorting her in a kilt & prince charlie?
Might have to look further into this....

I'm planning on going to our local arena football teams games kilted this fall. I think the Gordon should go nicely with their green and black.
Also I told my niece I was going to get a purple and white kilt to wear to her volleyball and basket ball games, since that is her schools colors.
I think she would die if she walked out and saw me in it. (Sounds like a fun night!!)

Yes... it IS our job to teach them to deal with adversity...
...or do I just enjoy embarrassing my daughter? I get the two confused.
As far as me escorting my brat kilted to her homecoming events... I really don't think that's going to fly. But I will check into it, for sure.
It's a Dad/daughter ritual, which excludes the mother... that'll just piss-off my ex-wife to the umteenth degree! So, I will enjoy some sophomoric satisfaction, no matter what.

I'm not seeing a down side to this
Of course if she's like my ex, pissing her off isn't much of a feat. It's more her way of life.

I bet you have your hands full keeping the boys away. I find that wearing the kilt and randomly brandishing a claymore helps with this.

Glad to hear that things went well at the game. Now what does that good looking daughter think of you in the Kilt?
