I don't hunt ducks but most that know me would certainly say I'm daffy...
Enjoy your trip!

I thought everyone knew there was no such place as Canada, It's a myth, invented by the American Medical Association to scare the supporters of nationalized health care...
Isn't it? After all, everyone knows that the northern border of the US is so cold in the winter that going any further north would cause you to freeze solid after September...

Not to put a damper on the good humor gents, but David really is looking for some actual X Markers who might be interested in getting together with an American duck hunter. Let's give a chance for some of our Canadian Sportsmen a chance to reply.
Cheers

Sorry to say David I'm strongly opposed to duck hunting. Now if you want to go clubbing seals... .
I'm not a hunter but if your near Toronto we'll arrange a kilt night. Now if there's only a way for you to help prevent those migrating Canada Geese coming back that would really be apreciated.

I would like to go to Canada
Ok chaps I understand your terminology now. Many thanks. We have the same problems here with sensitivities over "hunting".
Apart from having to get our firearms licenced by our local police(a must) and getting a game licence(few bother about this) all you have to do is get permission from a land owner and go.Well, actually it does not quite work out that way.For example,I had 10 people(called "guns") shooting grouse here yesterday, they shot 90 brace(180) and paid me a sum to do so.We have no bag limits,it is left to our discretion. We do have seasons though.

Unfortunately, I'm not a hunter. However, I work with DU people but they're not kilted. It's Bullwinkle season right now, Bambi is in a few weeks (that might be just bow).
I'll try and remember to ask about Daffy tomorrow.
A seal walks into a bar. Bartender says, "What'll you have?". Seal says, "Anything but the Canadian Club".
My workplace is interesting. At lunch, there will be vegans and people who have never had store bought meat.

Alright, you. I meant hunter type carnivores that have never bought meat.
If the meat you eat is from a vegetarian animal, are you a vegetarian?
Oh, dear, I hope this thread doesn't go off.

The Environment Canada website - select your province/territory of interest for season/bag limits:
http://www.cws-scf.ec.gc.ca/publicat...eg/index_e.cfm
I will tell you this - Saskatchewan is now under quarantine for bird flu, so without proper documents you won't be able to bring anything back without the proper paperwork.
I don't know about hunting dogs in Canada, but they can cross back and forth with their rabies certificates. Registering firearms and other personal effects before going into Canada - PM me, and I can tell you what forms you need, and how to go about doing it.
And I'll second Grant's invite - if you come through the Greater Buffalo-Niagara Falls-Toronto area, let us know so we can arrange a kilt night.
