I try to incorporate a little of my Native heritage into my kilt-wearing. One easy way is in your choice of kiltpins (if you wear them.) You can have great fun with silver and turquoise. Hit a couple of pawn shops and you might find some items that you can use right away or amend for use as kilt pin. I have a collection of silver feathers, kokopellis (I also play native flute,) bear tracks, etc.

Riverkilt does this to great advantage.
