People will just want to mainly socialize.

Westminster has 3 motels.
Boston Inn 410 848 9095
Days Inn 410 857 0500
Best Western 410 857 1900
O'Lordon's has the largest seating area as opposed to the Royal Mile. TRM is really small and cramped. I'm not saying I wont go there, but for a large group, (10 or more), we would really have trouble sitting together. If everyone want to get together at O'ls for Christmas, I volunteer to make the reservations. Let pick a day: the 8th or the 15th.
O'Lordons is located on Bond Street, Just off of Main street. Parking is available in the garage behind the building.

I think we need a roll call of the possible guests and then come up a central location.
If you don't want to post your city, feel free to give state and county. I really wanna try and get the NOVA folks involved (this means you!) So we really need to let us know where you are. I only saw a few in the area on Frppr map. Have you registered on http://www.frappr.com/xmarksthescot
Feel free to update your info.
Also we need to pick a date, say start with December 1st and work around that.
The 15th is already been knocked out by work for me.

I have a feeling that the 8th might work best for most? I stopped by O'Malleys in Gaithersburg at lunch and all it is is a small hotel bar.
This thread has been viewed 119 times but we have only about 6 people expressing interest. We have to know how many are interested, not committed, just interested so we can get an idea where and how large.

Well I"m interested but can't commit to it right now. December is usually horrid for us. Several Christmas parties that we are obligated to as well as a pre-Christmas Christmas dinner with my family and then off to Canada for Christmas itself w/ my inlaws. I'm tired just thinking about it.

Alexandria, VA here. I'm interested.
I've used the Royal Mile as a regional gathering spot for other groups before. It's reasonably accessible from NoVA and from Maryland (even folks from Baltimore seem to be able to find it), it's Metro accessible, and it's a Scottish pub. Lots of tartan in the decor. Even has live music some nights.

Canceled because of general lack of interest - this will be covered by the December MD/VA/PA/WV kilt night.
