As soon as I get them, I'll post. Dianne is just wonderful to deal with by the way, and if you were to go out and buy Argyll hose from a tartan shop you would be spending double what she charges, I know I priced it out, the other really cool thing is these are made just for you.

I agree totally. There was nowhere I could otherwise get socks in exactly the colors I was looking for made exactly to my specifications for the money. Definately worth looking into if you're in the market for new hose.

Hey, Cloves, thanks for posting this review.
First of all, let me say that your partner looks quite striking in her ensemble, and I wish I lived close enough to the two of you to do kilt nights with you... you'd make me look good, just by the gnifty rubbin' off y'all.
Secondly, I really like that simplified Balmoral design... I may order a pair for myself. Hmmm.
Oh, and third, how was your experience with the leather folks? You imply it took a while to get the belt?

Jeez, my wish list just lengthened! A great look for sure. And, McMurdo, you already done what popped into my mind when I saw the hose....Isle of Skye....yes!

Diane does some very nice work. Those look great.
Hmmmm....if the body of the sock was yellow, and the top navy and white it would be a perfect match for the XMTS tartan kilt I have being made...![Think](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/think.gif)

Yes Ron but those are Balmoral tops, what I am having Diane do is Argyll hose, I just can't wait for them to be done, I think they will be perfect for Burns Nights etc.

Aye McMurdo,
Should have been more specific. Was argyle IOS I had in mind too, think they'd have a flowing look more appropriate to the subtleness of the IOS tartan than the Balmoral.
