It is indeed a good article, and I advise anyone who has not seen it to download a free copy of Nick's superb opus to which the journalist refers. It is probably the best, and the most comprehensive contemporary guide to The Kilt and all that goes with it that I have seen.

Forget Charles Thompson's "So You Are Going to Wear The Kilt" which is now somewhat dated and was, by the author's own admission, written for American, not Scots, kilt wearers! Which is possibly why, to this day, many (but by no means all) Americans tend to overdo things when kilting up!! Follow Nick's guidelines and you'll not go wrong.
