Jeez, didn't know she sang Burns. She has wonderful voice (so does her brother, the lead in the pop band Trashcan Sinatras). My fav though is Andy M. Stewart.

I just now heard "A Man's a Man" by Kenneth McKellar on the radio, and it reminded me how much I love his voice. My vote goes to him.

I'm aging myself here, but I have an old recording by Dennis Day, that I don't think can be beat!

I'm going by memory here, and I will need to dig out the old 78, but I know I remember his voice and Burn's words.... ..... ..... ..... ..... of course, I have been wrong before!

Smithfield Faire's [I]Burns Night Out[I] is pretty good, I especially like their rendition of "Comin Through the Rye."

But my two favorites are Andy M' Stewart's Burns album (can't remember the title, it may just be Andy M. Stewart Sings the Songs of Robert Burns), and Dougie MacLean's Tribute, an album dedicated to the works of Robert Burns and Neil Gow.

People tend to think these days of Dougie as a singer/songwriter, and forget that he's also a expert fiddler.

    Aye,
    Matt

The reason I like the way Roddy sings Burns is because he has so much passion in his voice. He does justice to the love song.
