Did you sew the kilt yourself, or is it an infant's model from somewhere?

I made it myself, also the belt and "sporran".
And as for "wristwatch" ... no, one hand goes into an arm, the other one goes into the head and works the mouth and tongue.

I keep looking at the pictures, and I just can't figure out how you get two hands in there...
You must use the lotion, I presume? (Reference to a Jeff Dunham (a professional ventriloquist) show for those who don't know).

Excellent job in making that and great idea. Now after everyone likes the puppet you let slip that you happen to have a kilt just like he does and then they start asking your boss to let you wear one.

The arms are only sleeves with gloves attached. The head has an opening in the back.
Of course one is not supposed to see the openings from the front, that would spoil the illusion.

I have a Folkmanis bear puppet that works the same way. Over the years, I've discovered that, for most uses, I actually prefer the muppet approach -- the hand is on a stick, like a marionette, only controlled from below, instead of above. It keeps the operator from having to be directly behind the muppet all the time.
