I should be there unless something at work keeps me.

I could probably do something post-Thanksgiving, through to the middle of Dec. After about the 12th, it gets busy.

Last month's kilt night was great and I wish I could be there Nov. 13th.
Usually I have to work on Tuesday evenings, so I'm afraid I can't come this time. Is there any chance it might be on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday in the future?

Fridays would be fantastic for me, for one simple reason: Friday means more pints. More pints means more fun!

Well, I haven't had much feedback to my question about whether or not even to meet in December. So the day for gatherings is still in flux. Would people be interested in meeting on Friday, Dec. 7th?
The issue brought to my attention is that the bars will be REALLY packed on Friday evening at most places. So having the space for such a ragtag rabble (beautifully tailored kilts notwithstanding) could be hard to find.
Speak up, folks!

Friday is a very busy day depending on where you go, but in some places in the city Thursday can be worse. I can't guarantee being able to attend in December. I probably wouldn't know until that day whether I can make it or not. I would suggest though that Mon - Wed is better if posssible.
On the other hand, it seems as if most of us are not in the city anyway. What about setting a weekend meeting?
Just a thought.

As far as weekends go, I could do something on a Saturday afternoon or evening, particularly if it is tied to an event of some kind. Sundays are out, as we usually go to church. So Saturdays are in play for us.

Ok, latest head count for next Tuesday is four committed (myself, Chef and Cirthalion with his consort), with one probable (Keith A.). Sounds like one table should suffice at this point. Anybody else? I don't know how flexible the dinner seating is at this place.

NYC St. Andrews day <11/30/07> Kilt day/kilt night
Does anyone plan for a kilt night in NEW York CITY / or HUDSON County < Hoboken, Jersey City, in honor of Scotland's patron saint?
Is anyone in New York city, planning on wearing a Kilt to work on St. andrews day?
Since November 30, 2007 falls on a Friday, can we say "Pub crawl" ?
The feast of Saint Andrew is observed on November 30 in both the Eastern and Western churches, and is the national day of Scotland.
As for a night out pub crawling after a long day at work on a "school night" < Mon-Thurs> with many of us up early in the AM, to head back to work might be a bit rough. It would seem to make for a more relaxing evening if NYC pub crawl was held on a Friday after work or Late Saturday afternoon. As for a kicking off Friday night kilt, maybe it is fate Saint Andrews Feast day falls on a friday this year. Making "Casual Friday" ideal for Kilt day at the office. Or at least easier for those who may have to carry the kilt and change after work.
