I was wearing one of these long before I ever wore a kilt. I had one in 1970 that had snap closure, terry inside, cotton print outside with Schlitz Beer logos. I think it is part of the reason I started wearing a kilt. I liked the freedom. I have found them at Sears, JC Penney, and Burlington Coat Factory. Never have found one in a tartan, only solids (except for the Schlitz).

Hmmm Let's see $34 + S&H is almost an economy model from SWK. Decisions, decisions. I know I'm comparing apples to oranges a shower wrap is a shower wrap and a kilt is a kilt.
They each have their place but given the time I usually spend between showering and getting dressed I'd choose the kilt before I'd buy the wrap. But as someone has said it might be the toe in the door for someone to experiance the freedom.

    Nice & comfy!
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

Hey...I'd say that a bath towel and some plaid material from the fabric store coupled with a wee bit of velcro might yield a more kilt like version of the "bath kilt" (as the one I had as a teenager was called). Maybe a soap-on-a-rope sporran and a sghian dhub back brush?

I use this sort of thing for nightwear; (After the Northridge earthquake it seemed advisable to always wear Something to bed!)
I always used to wake up in the middle of the night with boxer types giving me a nasty "wedgie". I switched to the 'kilt' style and now sleep right through. I highly recommend it.

My wife made me one YEARS ago....minus the tartan material. Just used a towel and velcro. Works great...for what it is intended.

I go camping at lots of SCA events and something like this would be great. I currently just use on of my SWK thrify kilts for after the shower but actual towel material would be great. I'd have to have one with some pleats and most likely some kind of plaid, but i'd wear it for sure.
