    A university is an institution that awards a degree. A college is an institution that awards a diploma, but is post-secondary. Universities are academic and theory-based, while a college is more application and hands-on.

    Hmmmmmmmmmm - Now I must check my sheep skins..... Do I have degrees or diplomas? I have BA degrees, but I think they were awarded with a diploma?

    Anyway, good on you, McJore. Like Arlen says, everyone deserves to learn in safety.
    I agree, it's better for Jore to attend classes in a safer environment. I was curious as to the terminology because colleges and Universities are generally safer places than public schools, due to admissions policies weeding out some of the worst elements. But, then there was Va Tech....
